His career spans key markets in Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, and Singapore, where he has led petroleum product trading operations, significantly boosting growth, profitability, and operational efficiency within the energy industry.

As the Managing Director and CEO of Africa Terminals Nigeria Limited since 2022, Olakunle has ensured the company’s growth by developing strategic alliances and optimizing operational performance. He has placed a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace culture. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding Africa Terminals’ market presence and driving revenue generation through innovative strategies.

Prior to this, Olakunle served as the Chief Operations Officer at Africa Terminals, where he supported the CEO and board in achieving business growth and operational efficiency. He has also excelled in senior roles at Optima Energy Resource Ltd and Sahara Energy International, where he led trading operations and expanded the company’s reach into emerging markets like Asia. His expertise in strategic planning, client management, and risk management has consistently delivered results and strengthened business relationships.

Olakunle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, complemented by extensive executive training in corporate entrepreneurship, international oil trading, and tanker operations.
